Last night I took a very long hot shower and broke out some "Shea Butter Shower Gel and Body Butter" that was an Xmas gift from my friend Deb's trip to Italy. It smells SO good that I wanted to maul myself. Seriously. This stuff rocks! Anyhoo, I've been realizing I'm getting way too tense, my jaw is really tight and I can't open it as wise as usual. So I popped open a bottle of red wine. (Recalling that study I posted last week about regular wine/beer drinking in females reduces senility!) I hate doing that because I have probably 15 bottles of wine that have been given to me as gifts and I never know if it's a REALLY good bottle of wine or a $3.99 bottle. (I usually can't tell the difference so I'd rather save the good stuff for people that can appreciate it!) I decide it's pedicure night. Sipping the wine, giving the toes some attention. I'm feeling MUCH more relaxed after 1/2 a glass. I actually doze off after 3/4 of a glass. Then I wake to a jolt because one of my cats has knocked the glass over on the table and red wine is everywhere. So much for relaxation. Spent the next couple of hours doing damage control... Next time: white wine unless I'm drinking it out of a sippy cup. For the observant, yes, I was supposed to have dinner with "L" last night but his flight from Boston got delayed (imagine that!) so it's rescheduled for this evening. |

Oh I do love how relaxing pets can be. Mine has a favorite trick that just as my eyes are closing, he makes that mmmruckkk mmmrruuucckk sound that precedes a hairball. Typically on the beige carpet. Not the vinyl floor that's easy to clean, noooOOOOooo... but then he's so furry and purry I forgive.

I received a bottle of wine, as a gift, from my employer. Goes to figure... it was a cheap bottle. No... not as bad as Boone's Farm, but something very close... Oh well, it goes down good.

I have had a bottle of Dom in my fridge for years... I know that's a good one.
Otherwise, I usually assume the prettier the label, the better the wine. LOL

Forrtunately, they have been hurling only on the hardwoods instead of the carpet. And it's always nice when they jump up on teh counter to barf on your freshly-cleaned counter and hand towel.
