Can you imagine being stuck for hours and hours? What if you had to pee? What if there were lots of other people? What if it was one of those really crowded elevators with a ton of people and one smells like B.O.? It is enough to make me want to take the stairs...just in case. posted by: FinalyFree (reply) post date: 11.24.04 (10:43 am) Ding-Dong the drains are out! Woo! posted by: kurtmaddox (reply) post date: 11.24.04 (11:34 am) ouch! dang, i hate big needles... i'm so sorry!!! posted by: NurseNancy (reply) post date: 11.24.04 (12:09 pm) good luck with the drain free life! and the elevator thing is really freaky, I hate being stuck...it really made me panic the once or twice it happened to me... posted by: Saad (reply) post date: 11.24.04 (12:16 pm) u must be used to it! is it fun? ;) posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 11.24.04 (12:46 pm) Reply to: NurseNancy I already feel left hip swelling up. I loathe having to go back on Friday to see one of the residents to get drained again. Maybe I should have just taken home the supplies to do it myself? I'm not squeamish... posted by: NurseNancy (reply) post date: 11.24.04 (2:25 pm) Reply to: ScubaDiva self surgery is not recommended!! posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 11.24.04 (3:45 pm) Reply to: NurseNancy That's no biggie. Sort of a reverse shot. The area is numb when it starts filling with fluid anyway... My cats could always assist! LOL posted by: NurseNancy (reply) post date: 11.25.04 (12:26 am) Reply to: ScubaDiva I remember the numbness very well! In fact I never had to have any sort of anesthetic when I had incisions and drainage performed post op cancer surgery. Now five years later I have a bit of feeling coming back. Oh well, beats the alternative. Oh, and don't hire your cats to do the job.... ;) posted by: SheSpecies (reply) post date: 11.26.04 (2:36 pm) ::does the drain-free dance:: Woohoo Diva...grab your dancin shoes. We're goin out tonight! posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 11.26.04 (2:56 pm) Reply to: SheSpecies As a matter of fact, I am. And I am having a particularly good hair day too... (Unfortunately, I'm so tired from just getting ready that I'd rather be snuggled up on the sofa...) posted by: SheSpecies (reply) post date: 11.27.04 (12:31 pm) Reply to: ScubaDiva K I'm still coming over then! LOL posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 11.28.04 (3:52 am) Reply to: SheSpecies You'd die of boredom if you came over hon. I'm like a 45 record and you are an MP3. |
