(I'm so excited,... and I just can't hide it,.... I'm about to loose control and I think I like it)??? posted by: brogonzo (reply) post date: 11.20.04 (9:16 pm) Obvious, yes. You know what gave it away? The implication that you actually had sex on this occasion!! Keep getting better, Scuba. Hope you're well. posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 11.21.04 (2:57 am) Reply to: brogonzo Au contraire Bro. My 'virtue' remained intact for several more years post-Live Aid. posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 11.21.04 (2:58 am) Reply to: KRAZEDONE I haven't gotten there yet. I"m on Disc 3... posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 11.21.04 (2:58 am) Reply to: lagioconda I didn't see it all that day - but seeing all these artists 20 years later - whoa! posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 11.21.04 (2:59 am) Reply to: kurtmaddox Yes. Bono is a dick. I've met him twice. The Edge though, is VERY cool. I'm sure he has fantasies of gagging Bono from time to time. After Joshua Tree, I refused to buy any more of their albums. posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 11.21.04 (3:00 am) Reply to: producerboy It's a comedy. I swear some of this stuff should be made into a movie one day... posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 11.21.04 (3:01 am) Reply to: producerboy I WISH WISH WISH I had gotten to see Queen play live. And The Police. And The Who. (Roger Daltry was HOT - how did I miss that???) And sadly, I'll still admit, I think George Michael looks uber-hot in his jeans on stage. LOL posted by: kurtmaddox (reply) post date: 11.21.04 (8:07 am) Reply to: ScubaDiva oops! i gave you the wrong impression. bono can certainly come off as pretensious but i am a big fan and even greater admirer of both his art and his idealism. i was being tongue-in-cheek, of course, with the "bono for benevolent dictator" comment but i was only half joking ;-) posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 11.22.04 (12:26 pm) Reply to: kurtmaddox Bono does more than come off as pretentious - he's an ass. Egomanical. He's right up there with Michael Stipe. I can share 'inside' stories of encounters with them but let's sum it up to say, they both need a couple of swift kicks in the pants. posted by: kurtmaddox (reply) post date: 11.22.04 (12:45 pm) Reply to: ScubaDiva i have no interest to argue with your opinion of bono. i accept your personal opinion as valid based on your experience of him. there are ppl who think i'm an ass and then there (hopefully more) ppl who have experienced my love, kindness, and compassion. my personal admiration of bono is not based on personal experience, as i have none, but on his work, his music, and his activism for projects that resonate with my values. now, stipe... i'm with you there ;-) posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 11.22.04 (1:33 pm) Reply to: kurtmaddox Bono is a media whore and his 'activism' is hooey. He's a total hypocrite. posted by: kurtmaddox (reply) post date: 11.22.04 (3:00 pm) Reply to: ScubaDiva OK... there are elements of hypocracy in all of us. As I said, I accept your opinion as valid based on your experience. I simply suggest that it is difficult for any of us to judge another person's heart, even when we know them intimately. Whatever Bono and Mr. Stipe are... its worked out for them. I can admire them for what they've created on its own merit detached from what they may or may not be in their private reality. posted by: SheSpecies (reply) post date: 11.23.04 (11:01 am) LOL Can't wait to read about your love triangle. |
