Back from the doctor. I have a broken toe and a break in my foot. Dr wanted to cast it. I negotiated out of the cast and agreed to 'buddy tape' my toes and wear my "robo-boot' from my ankle injuries. The Dr. wanted to give me a 'scrip for Tylenol 3 for pain. I laughed - it's a f'ing broken toe. |

Ooooo OUCH! I know what it's like to be in a robo-boot...pain in the ass! Hope you heal up real soon :)

I'm allergic to most pain meds - and demerol or morphine seemed a little too much. It hurts but I'll manage. Hell, women give birth w/o pain meds...

Hehehe - You're such a trooper. I woulda been all OVER that Tylenol 3. Actually, I probably woulda asked for an upgrade to Tylenol 4 cause I'm such a baby...oh, and I like codeine and codeine-derivitives. LOL

Ahh..hmm interesting you can take morphene but not Codene..
Yeah.. I know WAY too much about hives..spent one summer mostly drugged out on Benedryl (and scratched most of the skin of of one leg just cause it felt SSOoo good at the time)

Hey, I hope that toe heals up soon. I have heard that it can take 8 weeks for a bone to heal properly. So take care of your foot, woman!

I went out to dinner with a friend (NOT a date) - the roboboot just didn't look right. I ended up wearing some low-heeled sandals (with my toes wrapped). Hurt like hell. What was I thinking???

Actually, I get so f'd up on morphine that I dont' care that I'm itching. I don't have the problem wtih my throat closing up on morphine (yet).

I could literally open a pharmacy from all my pain meds in my medicine chest. (However, I think that would be somewhat illegal - LOL) I've had five surgeries in the past 2 years...

Hmmm. I dunno about breathing through the broken toe. I don't know if that's good or not...Hahaha Might try only breathing through the toes of the other foot? ::shrug: You got me there!
