08.24.04 (10:43 am)   [edit]
If the No. 2 pencil is the most popular in the world, why isn't it No. 1?

As for the #2 I did some looking and I cant figure it out either. But this is what I did find.....
One pencil can write 45,000 words or draw a line 35 miles long. It can write in zero gravity, upside down or under water. The "lead" is non-toxic graphite - the wood is cedar. Mass producted in Europe since 1622, the first U.S. pencils were made in 1812. And why are 75% of all pencils yellow? During the 1800s, the best graphite came from China. Yellow is the color they associate with royalty and respect. A pencil painted yellow became know as the best pencil you could buy.
So next time you use a pencil, know that your royality, or a royal pain in the ass. Ehh whatever works for ya.

Pondering the deep questions in life ... Tell me this...

Why doesn't your IRON stop working on Sunday when you are in bed with a cold instead of Monday morning when you are running late for a big company meeting YOU set up to address employee tardiness?

Then let's buck the system. From now on they are driveways and parkways. (use them as they SHOULD be vs their mixed-up meanings)

The options with pens are even more daunting. Felt tip, ball point, gel..
