Hangin' Tough
04.03.08 (4:27 pm)   [edit]
The world will come to a stop tomorrow morning.
New Kids on the Block are reuniting tomorrow morning on the Today Show.

I'm just warm and tingly thinking about it.

I had to go to their concert in the early 90's with my cousin and her 7 friends. She was maybe 11. Seats were horrible. High pitched screaming from 50,000 young girls was eardrum-popping. Couldn't see anything but specks on the stage. (Perhaps that's for the best)

So I'm going to be 'hanging tough' tomorrow.

(Is that song rolling in your head now? LOL)

Did you read my post from this week? Being a guy, I never really got into NKOTB, but I was a fan of New Edition. If you get a chance you should check it out.

I can certainly identify with the mass of screaming girls, I took my daughter to see The Backstreet Boys for her 12th or 13th birthday and I swear to God it took over a month for my 'normal' hearing to return! Puzzling since I saw many LOUD concerts as a teenager and none of them produced those long-lasting results. Must be something about the girls' high pitched screams, huh?

I'm having flashbacks. None of the NKOTB came out to be gay did they? (I always thought the tall dark-haired guy was....)

Or, wait, was it a Menudo reunion I've been waiting for....

ahhhh. the first concert i EVER took the girls too was NKOTB. I sighed when I heard the news. Fortunately, they are now 28 and 30, and I shouldn't have to take them LOL. Now, if the Naked Brothers Band goes on tour, I will be sitting again in a stadium with 50,000 screaming bubble gummers (two of which will be mine) with ear plugs on.

at least THEY don't have to take ME to see Sir Paul LOL. I can do that by myself!!

One of my first concerts was an NKOTB one! I am looking forward to hearing more from this reunion!! I didn't think the concert was that great, but at least we they weren't lip syncing. And I was sitting in the nosebleeds. All I could hear was screaming!!
