It burns like a motha...
06.29.07 (5:31 pm)   [edit]
Epidural done. Needles don't bother me but I'm super ticklish on my lower back. Had some issues with me twitching while he was making me into a human pincushion. Now, I'm home and it burns like a beast. Supposed to be laying down flat on my back for the next 72 hours. (They said 48 over the phone when I made the appt) I have some strawberries and turkey hot dogs that can last me a day or so. Otherwise, I'm going to need a food airlift. And movies. And I'm not good and sitting still unless I'm drugged out of my gourd - which I don't like to do. Have a great weekend.

Diva, only wish I was close enough to help. Make sure that you follow the Dr's orders.

Kidding. From my car accident in February - still having a lot of ongoing pain. Injection of cortisone.

Oops ~ sorry about the accident problems. Hope this 'treatment' helps for you.

What guys?
I got read the riot act a little while ago from a guy friend because I left the house to get some food and return a movie. He said he would have driven over (45mins) to pick me up some berries. (Very sweet but unnecessary)
Back is really stiff. Doesn't feel good at all. In fact, feels worse. This sucks.

and when do the 'docs' say you should feel improvement?

They said I should notice improvement in 3 days. But I'm in increasingly more pain as time goes on. Something isn't right. The instructions I was given say that if pain increases to call my doc (who is in Alaska on vacation) or go to the ER (on a Saturday night? no thanks). I'm not running a fever (someone suggested I got meningitis), and not curled up in a ball yet (but it's getting there), so I'm going to try to tough it out until tomorrow morning.

Oh my dear, I am so sorry to hear of this discomfort! I'm sure you must be scared; I sure would. Do you have someone to take you to the hospital? If I understand it, you and your parents are not on 'good term's' or 'whatever one wants to call it' (not asking either). I sure hope you can find someone to be of help.
I will be thinking of you dear. ((hugs))
