Upside of the job, my commute time is 4 mins. (Most of my coworkers take an hour to drive in.) Training is dreadfully boring. Partially because we are dialing in remotely as we're in a training classroom and it takes FOREVER for relevant pages to come up. Cannot access anything of a personal nature online at the office... Not that we can't but my boss made it clear that ALL of our internet and email access is recorded. Can you say Big Brother? |

yeah, most places are like like now. try working for a colledge that is on the cutting edge of technology/interactive media... not only is big brother watching but we are a training ground for hackers and systems analyists and all that whatnot.

It's a cutting-edge tech company, so we have all the bells and whistles. Despite the office looking like a dump. I especially can't check my blog when I bitch about work - ya know, that's sort of asking for trouble.

I use the inter and intranet all day long. Researching and learning about our product offerings, learning the (crappy) database, blah blah blah.
I just can't go shopping online and check my email or blog.

The boss said to be there at 9am to start training. Every day he's been in around 9:45.
Once we're done with training, I'll be getting in around 7:30 so I'll have a couple of hours of peace and quiet...
