She should have refunded your money when you told her how unhappy you were! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.17.06 (3:36 pm) She should have refunded your money *and* given you extensions!! posted by: scubadiva (reply) post date: 08.18.06 (5:07 am) Reply to: FinalyFree There have been times when I've not been happy with it, but washed it and styled it myself and found it was manageable. (Didn't like it, but it will grow out...) Worked with it this morning and more upset. Will definitely be getting a refund. Yes, it's happened to me many times since my stylist went back to the Ukraine or somewhere like that. Didn't make a difference if it was a $90 cut or a $15 cut. Equally bad experiences. In fact, more bad experiences at the more upscale places. posted by: scubadiva (reply) post date: 08.18.06 (5:15 am) Reply to: LadyG I cried when I was 10 - I had long gorgeous hair - my mother made me get a 'Dorothy Hamil' cut. (You know what that is if you're over 30) I've never forgiven her for that. Maybe I need to bring that up in therapy??? If I cut my own hair, I'd have to ask myself for my money back. And there's no way I could do it evenly. It's waaaaay too short, but at least it doesn't look like I got in a fight with a weedeater. And lost. I'll color my own hair. And do my own highlights, but I draw the line there. posted by: scubadiva (reply) post date: 08.18.06 (5:17 am) Reply to: rosietulips Extensions? No thanks. They are murder on your hair. And unless they are expertly applied, they look hideous. I don't think a place that does $25 haircuts is going to have the expertise for decent extensions. Fortunately, my hair grows pretty fast. It will be where I wanted it lengthwise by November. (sigh) posted by: surrogate (reply) post date: 08.18.06 (5:45 am) Bet you look just fine. Have no idea why they down do what you ask them though. It's a problem I don't have any longer, having so little hair left, though I remember it clearly. It almost feels like a betrayal. Used to make me very angry when it happened. Finally found someone I trusted to do it the way I asked, (which changed from time to time,) and kept having her do it for over twenty years. Miss her, though these days, I sport a buzz and anyone could do it. posted by: surrogate (reply) post date: 08.18.06 (5:45 am) oops... "don't do what you ask them to do," rather. posted by: scubadiva (reply) post date: 08.18.06 (5:56 am) Reply to: surrogate After washing it, even more pissed. I went from hair that was to my shoulder-blades to what I would consider 'short hair'. Can't even put it in a pony tail. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. However, I don't want to be in your shoes. I'm a girly girl and I need hair. posted by: surrogate (reply) post date: 08.18.06 (12:48 pm) Reply to: scubadiva A girly-girl? As opposed to? And no... I'm sure you don't want my hair. posted by: scubadiva (reply) post date: 08.18.06 (3:07 pm) Reply to: surrogate A 'girly-girl' is one that embraces all things feminine. A regular girl doesn't necessarily get so excited about bubble baths, lingerie, high-heels and makeup. posted by: surrogate (reply) post date: 08.18.06 (3:11 pm) Reply to: scubadiva Geez scubs, you don't know when I'm kidding? I know the difference! I dated a real girly-girl once... I enjoyed her bubble-bath! (Wish she was home at the time.) posted by: scubadiva (reply) post date: 08.18.06 (3:42 pm) Reply to: surrogate I would never assume... posted by: onebadjen (reply) post date: 08.19.06 (5:55 am) i couldn't imagine not having long enough hair to put in a pony tail. that's just wrong! |
