You need someone to bring you drinks. posted by: FinalyFree (reply) post date: 06.06.06 (6:48 am) *shakes head* I know who to share my experiences with now...YOU! I get to the point where I'm ashamed to tell most people because it's usually so unbelievable. posted by: scubadiva (reply) post date: 06.06.06 (6:53 am) Reply to: chicalookate I think it has to do more with me being evil as a kid... I was the female version of Damien, except I didn't kill or maim anyone in the process. posted by: scubadiva (reply) post date: 06.06.06 (6:53 am) Reply to: FinalyFree Welcome to my life story. ;) I'm going back to bed. (What's on Oprah today? kidding!) posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 06.06.06 (2:39 pm) Every time I read about your hospital/doctor/medical visits, I just shake my fist! posted by: eichspeaks (reply) post date: 06.06.06 (3:14 pm) Everyday it is something with you, as I feel your pain1 I have to say, I enjoy reading up on your day by day life(is that wrong?) it's like a real life Days, or As The World Turns,,, you give hope lol posted by: scubadiva (reply) post date: 06.07.06 (12:17 am) Reply to: eichspeaks I hate drama. Especially when I'm involved. However, the fact that my rollercoaster ride is entertainment for you makes it all worthwhile. (Not really). I'm really trying to keep it more along comedic lines than drama. posted by: scubadiva (reply) post date: 06.07.06 (12:21 am) Reply to: rosietulips It keeps getting more and more pathetic. I had another dr. call me late yesterday - could barely understand him his english was so bad. He told me to pick up a perscription this morning. I asked him if I was to continue taking the other medication and did I need to see dermatology. Couldn't understand him and I don't think he understood me. My doc won't be back in until Thursday. I left her a vm asking, in a polite way, what the hell was going on and what I was supposed to be doing. If this situation continues, I'm quite tempted to start hollering malpractice. posted by: JT (reply) post date: 06.09.06 (4:20 am) Diva, where the heck do you live? I think it's time to move into a metro city with more than one hospital, and stuff like prescription delivery services. This is just so uncool. DH had shingles two years ago and he said it was the worst experience (medically) he's ever had. I have immune crap too and had shingles about seven years ago, and I vaguely recall wondering who the fuck ran a Mack truck over my right side. It did get better -- but the thing you have to find out about is if there's any way to avoid post-infection neuralgia, which can last much longer. Do we need to come and move you to Chicago? posted by: scubadiva (reply) post date: 06.09.06 (4:30 am) Reply to: JT I live in a small town called Atlanta. I have to go to this one hospital b/c of insurance issues. There's no alternative in regard to picking up meds and no one else can pick them up but me. Talked to doc yesterday - she wants me to go back to the ER today since I'm still running a fever and having the bad pain. (Hadn't occurred to me to ask for pain meds)I'm loathing it. Shingles hurts like a MF. My research says that it's essential to get on meds ASAP to avoid the long-standing pain. Of course, it was two weeks before anyone paid attention. My first bf was in Chicago (well, Crystal Lake)... Wonder if he's still single. He was a marvelous smoocher, despite having braces. Wonder if he's gotten rid of the braces and is an even better kisser? |
