I haven't been sleeping well for weeks... You know that commercial on TV for Lunesta - with that peaceful green butterfly comes into the guy's room and he goes to that wonderful restful sleep? Well, I took it 3 hours ago and that MF'ing butterfly still hasn't come. I even opened the windows and called out "Here Butterfly". Anyone know any Lunesta butterfly mating calls? Maybe if I go around flapping my arms like a butterfly? (It doesn't say anything like that on the instructions. It says to be in bed when taking it - I was expecting to fall into a comatose sleep before I put the glass down.) No such luck. Maybe if I take 4 of them like I do with Ambien? Oh hell, I could always drink myself into a stupor... |

Do not mix booze and sleeping pills. You could end up like Karen Anne Quinlan. yikes.

I wouldn't do that. I was referring to drinking instead of taking the meds. I didn't sleep a wink last night. GRRRR. And I'm a lost cause today as a result.
I'm just in disbelief that it didn't do ANYTHING for me. I was a wee bit drowsy but never made it over the 'hump' into sleepdom. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrgh.

Try taking Ativan (valium) and lunestra *sp? that should do the trick... Beer works for me most days but damn it all- it's high in calories!

she was an American girl who mixed booze and qualudes. She was brain dead, her folks went to court to turn the machine off, they won, they did and she lived. Rather, she breathed on her own. For years and years. This happened when I was a teen ager, and it had a profound impact on my decision about ever getting involved in drugs.

Now I have a cold. I made homemade chicken soup yesterday and have been drinking grapefruit juice. Feel like ca-ca. Deciding between taking Tessalon or Guaifenesin for it. (Raiding my home pharmacy) I'm leaning toward the Tessalon b/c the 'pearls' are cool looking.
And can you explain to me how I'm congested in one nostril and then miraculously. that one clears and the other one is congested? What is UP with that????

better check with the pharmacist if grapefruit juice is ok to drink with your other meds. It can interact with some medications. The nostril thing is based on the pressure in your sinuses. The congestion will move around and will congest one side or another. Sometimes both at once. Oh fun. get well soon!!
