I would of told them that I wanted a corporate # after I was done with them. posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 09.14.05 (3:54 pm) Reply to: SweetDiva I knew that losing my cool with them would not help - wouldn't get me in any faster - I was being as polite as possible. Unfortunately, I believe there was some racial issues going on from their end. I took the high road and told the teacher on them (LOL!) posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 09.14.05 (3:55 pm) Reply to: islandArtist Of course, I'm having problems with the plugs that he put in - so I'm loathing the thought of having to go back in there. I'm sure they are going to deliberately lose my chart or something. And I feel sorry for the poor doctor - he was just trying to help but I'm sure they will seek revenge on him too. posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 09.14.05 (3:56 pm) Reply to: kurtmaddox Apparently someone peed in their cornflakes this morning. (I wish it had been me) posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 09.14.05 (3:58 pm) Reply to: sweetsue (I'm apologizing in advance to my felines) There's more than one way to skin a cat. I worked the system to get my bootay in after I waited an adequate amount of time. I just wish I was there when they all got their hands slapped. posted by: chicalookate (reply) post date: 09.15.05 (3:56 am) Yeah for you!!! That is amazing. *clapping* Hopefully it will do some good. And maybe the Dr. will say something too. posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 09.15.05 (4:07 am) Reply to: chicalookate I got a call this a.m. from the hospital - haven't listened to the vm yet. Will keep you updated. posted by: NurseNancy (reply) post date: 09.15.05 (7:11 am) I sure hope those women were not nurses. Unfortunately, "nurse" is a misnomer used to describe any female in a uniform working in a health care setting. More likely, she was the "clerk", "secretary" or in some such position. If they were indeed nurses, the state liscensing board has a complaints procedure to file complaints about any lisenced nurse, be s/he an RN or LPN/LVN. Behavior like this is considered unprofessional and conduct unbecoming. They need to be disciplined by their professional association. Go for it!! posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 09.15.05 (7:29 am) Reply to: NurseNancy She is a nurse... Had LPN on her name tag. The other cronies - they were nothing more than glorified paper pushers with attitudes. You, on the otherhand, are the Glenda the Good Nurse of the nursing world. ;) posted by: NurseNancy (reply) post date: 09.15.05 (10:23 am) Reply to: ScubaDiva well find out the state board for LPNs and COMPLAIN!!! the purpose of professional associations is to protect the public!! go for it. I'm ashamed to tell people I'm a nurse when these witches are out there spoiling it for good nurses. posted by: gambit3131 (reply) post date: 09.15.05 (11:28 am) I would check back to make sure they have filed that complaint. posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 09.16.05 (4:25 am) Reply to: gambit3131 The woman that supervises 5 clinics (eye clinic plus who knows what else..) is going to call me to let me know when I've been scheduled for my follow-up. Ironically, I'm having problems with my left eye - so I might have to go in today. (I have cute doc's direct number now. Woo! Hoo!) posted by: Dstar (reply) post date: 09.16.05 (10:43 am) Good for you!!!! I truly hope that they all get sent to the unemployment line. There is no excuse to be willing to take a paycheck and perform that way. It is disgusting and makes me sick. You do seem to get more than your share of that kind of thing, it seems. Me, I just stay pissed 24/7 and nobody messes with me. Except my neighbor. posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 09.16.05 (12:54 pm) Reply to: Dstar Considering the nursing shortage, I doubt that they'd axe her. It's a county hospital so there's lots of red tape and it's pretty much the status quo down there. The occasional ones that are nice completely shock me. (I guess they haven't been there long enough to pick up on the be-a-bitch protocol) posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 09.17.05 (9:56 am) Reply to: NurseNancy I know you are Super Nurse and all - but I just don't have the energy to do it. I have too much on my plate right now. All the dr's appts last week and running around have me totally wiped out. I had an appt with my PCP (who I adore) and was so exhausted, I just curled up on an examining table with a sheet. I couldn't keep my head up. I came home and crashed - I'm too tired to sleep. It sucks monkey balls. posted by: NurseNancy (reply) post date: 09.18.05 (7:09 am) All you have to do is call. Someone will take the information from you and they should follow it up from there. Beleive me, the state board will not like to hear about unprofessional members. |
