I LOVE toast, miracle whip, and tomatoe sandwiches. I could eat about a million and a half of them! You better find that roach quick. You know if he finds his way to a hiding place, all his friends are coming over tonight! ;+) posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 08.06.05 (2:33 am) Reply to: verucassalty Nope, but thanks for asking. posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 08.06.05 (2:36 am) Reply to: Dstar If you were nearby, you'd be welcome to some of the tomatoes. I had one yesterday. It was dee-lish. I think I'm making crab-stuffed roasted tomatoes tonight. And yes, I caught that roach - read my latest posting for the details. posted by: FinalyFree (reply) post date: 08.06.05 (1:30 pm) Have you ever frozen tomatoes? It's super easy and they're soooo good to have to cook with in the winter. Just plop them in boiling water for a minute or two, this makes the skin just slide off, then put them into freezer bags. Put as many or as few as you want in the bag. They're great in spaghetti sauce, chili, soups, etc. Anything you'd used a canned tomato for, except these will have that unmistakable flavor of a summer tomato. And don't worry if they freeze in a big clump, they're really easy to 'chisel' off the amount you need. :) posted by: ScubaDiva (reply) post date: 08.07.05 (3:44 am) Reply to: FinalyFree I'm a purist when it comes to tomatoes - I only eat them fresh, from my garden. Someone asked if I can them, and I laugh. |
