Someone explain "SKORTS" to me. I just don't get the appeal. I've done 'surgery' on two pairs of skorts. I turn them inside-out and cut out the 'short' part of it, making it a skirt. Sort of like separating twins. |

As I tell my daughter, better than flashing your panties to the world when you bend over or get out of a car. Or if your wearing your thong, you'll keep from flashing your bare ass!

I don't wear thongs. And a lady knows how to move in a skirt to NOT show her panties unless we intended to. (They taught that to us in finishing school - well, not the part about intentionally showing panties.)

When did skorts come back. I went shopping the other day for Shorts, and all I could find was skorts, and the dang things are so short , there is no way I'm putting one of those one.

I hate shorts. I prefer skirts... Hence I did my skort-ectomy. I could send you the fabric and you could add a ruffle at the bottom of the short-skorts to lengthen them. Ruffles are in right now on hemlines. Granted, they make your hips/thighs/ass look huge but...

yeah no ruffles for me. I was actually looking for some shorts to roller blade in and the skorts i saw were sweat suit kinda material. that's just wrong!

Not sure what to recommend for roller-blading. I'd say perhaps a padded sumo suit. (I only roller blade on flat surfaces now due to an unfortunate accident about 10 years ago)

Love them love them!
I'm not a skirt wearer personally
but I love to show my legs so with skorts I can show them tighs and not have to worry about showing my drawls lol!

hahahaha that's funny cuz i took a bad fall a few years ago got road rash on the butt lol. but i still go I just avoid rocks like the plague ;) and hills are ok if they are small.

Short version:
College student. Bought CHEAP rollerblades. Used to compete in ice skating as a kid, so rollerblading came easy to me. BIG hill. Brake came off skate. Car. Me. Sliding on asphalt. Road rash ALL the way up my left side.
'Nuff said.

I have a friend who likes skorts because she gets chub rub on her thighs... and she can't wear shorts at work. This gives her the best of both worlds. I am not a fan of them though.

Yeah, I don't have the skinniest thighs so I do own a skort, and it's very cute -- very light cotton in a tiny black & white print -- very floaty. It doesn't look like shorts, even from the back, but it's comfy.
My solution to chub rub (G-d, I HATE that term!) is to wear bike shorts under skirts. It ain't pretty, but it does the job.

and I've seen enough panties that I didn't want to see from females in short skirts, from the switching the leg they have crossed to the just sitting with thier legs closed, even sitting lady like if the skirt is short and stiff....sometimes it don't flow to cover. I like my skorts, I have no worries of showing my personals to anyone but who I want to see them. =)

I mastered the art of sitting in a short skirt in finishing school. One does NOT cross their legs in a short skirt. One sits at an angle in the chat and gracefully crosses her ankles. And if she's wearing a skirt that shows her undergarments when sitting, it's TOO DAMN SHORT.
