My Anthem
05.02.04 (12:58 pm)   [edit]
I'm sitting in my home office reading some emails and thinking about my friend that was involved in the "Dynasty-style Other Woman Drama" thing last night. A song came on the radio that is my "anthem".

No matter how sucky life can get, when I hear this song, I HAVE to get up and dance, twirl and sing (Horrendously off-key).

The song... "I will survive" by Gloria Gaynor. I can't tell you HOW many times I've played that song over and over (usually there's a man involved) but it picks me up and keeps me going no matter what.

Do you have an anthem that does the same for you?

Yep. Eve 6's "At least we're dreaming" really picks me up when I've sunk to an all-time low. As does AFI's "Silver and Cold"-that song is so moving and makes me feel powerful and..happy..haha..

two friends of mine made up a dance and then when it says, "And now ur back from outerspace" i walked on to the stage in an atronaut suit and then hehehh they shoved me off the stage que, "walk out the door jsut turn around now cuz ur not welcome any more."

You got it... It's an oldie but goodie. Precursor to the Spice Girls "Girl Power"... Waaaaay precursor.

At least you didn't say the theme song to Barney. I guess that's what comes with kids. LOL

Whenever I walk into a room, I imagine my theme song playing for all to hear...
"Raise a little hell, raise a little hell, raise a little hell!"
Gotta love Trooper, if only for that ONE song!

Although lately, I'm leaning toward my version of Bob Marley's No Woman No Cry (no man no cry)
