Someone made a posting about Canadian guys. Which reminded me of Jonathan from Toronto... I met Jonathan on a dive cruise. He was "more experienced" than me in the water and he was eye candy, so I figured I'd make the most of the situation and learn something to boot. And he didn't look half bad in a wetsuit. He actually looked rather suave. I had the world's first underwater argument with him. He wanted me to ride an underwater scooter but I didn't feel the need. He kept buzzing me with the thing, trying to hand it off to me. I kept making gestures that I wasn't interested. So he handed it off to someone else and we literally had and underwater argument - the hand gestures and head movements had to be hysterical to watch. In the end, I won. ;) Nothing physical happened on the trip - Jonathan actually was working the dive cruise - he repped a number of the sponsors of the event. There was some flirting going on nonetheless. Jonathan and I stayed in touch thru phone and email every couple of weeks. Even though we both speak english, this southern belle realized something - I don't understand a damn word that boy said unless I'm face to face with him (and even then I had some problems). So, my end of the phone conversation was always like "oh", "really?", "cool!". I had no clue what the hell he was saying! Apparently at one point, he was saying he was coming thru town to go diving in Florida and was going to stay overnight at my place. (I had no clue until I got the email - LOL) Jonathan failed to mention he's allergic to cats. I have two. The poor guy was suffering the entire time. If he had told me, I would have given him some allergy medicine - but no, tough guy that he was, he just kept sniffling away. Jonathan came to visit 3-4 times over the next 2 years. He even joined us for Thanksgiving dinner one year because he was blowing through town. His last visit - he asked if I wanted to watch a movie. I have a fairly good sized collection of dvd's to choose from. But he wanted to share his collection with me. He whipped out a cd-case with like 3 regular movies and about 100 porn flicks. (Now, this girl has no problem with a little racy stuff from time to time, but 100 porn flicks????) This chick was amused. He always flirted but never made a move - if you want to consider the porn a "move". (And southern girl me, always lets the boy make the first move - and it's fun to watch them squirm sometimes too!) Anyway - so that's my experience with Canadian guys. Can't even tell you if they are decent smoochers or not. Maybe Jonathan will read this one day and lay a big wet one on me. |

All the Canadien guys I have ever smooched have been pretty good at it but I have to admit that even though I live 1/2 hour from the border, I havent really played kissy face with too many Canucks

I just find his collection, rather, odd. I snuck a peek later to see if he had anything that was particularly out of the ordinary - women doing platypuses or something like that - all pretty basic - but having THAT many flicks - turned this chick off...

Shit, I haven't had a porn movie since high school, which might have something to do with my enduring "frustration" But I won't get into that.
And as far our neighbors from up north... my old roomate said it best...

When I worked at LSV I rented porn to a lot of guys and had no problem with it. But it was always a little dissapointing when I would see someone who was really attractive whose entire rental history was porn. We aren't talking the occasional film, we are talking 100s. With a couple action films thrown in for good measure. :D

Nope, we never watched any. He wanted to finish watching some old ww2 sub movie - and I fell asleep.
He's quit the diving biz now, runs a snow plow in Toronto in the winter and operates a boat for fishing trips now. He seems a little bitter. (Or at least that's what I thought trying to decipher what he was saying....)
